As the episode starts we see Goku, Gohan, and Krillin relaxing. Vegeta on the other hand is up on the lookout waiting for Piccolo to come out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Vegeta becomes impatient and yells…
Soon, Piccolo emerges. Vegeta walks in and says to himself…
Meanwhile. Goku, Chi-Chi, Krillin, and Gohan are driving home from a picnic. There is then special announcement on the radio telling of the World Army’s plan to attack Cell. Goku shouts out…
And so, they start their attack…
As Goku predicted, there was no effect on Cell at all…
And now Cell ready’s his attack. As he lifts his arm to blast the army away he gives this creepy smile. For some reason it was cut out of the TV version…
And so, Cell takes out the whole army. The radio plays the screams of the dying army men, this was cut out along with Goku shutting it off…
There is then a shot of the smoldering creator and someone’s helmet. The shot of the helmet was cut out…
Goku leaves his wife with Gohan and Krillin and goes see’s Piccolo at the lookout to devise a plan to get new DragonBalls. They come to the conclusion that they just need to find another Namekian. Meanwhile, Gohan, Krillin and Chi-Chi make their way to Master Roshi’s island. The World Leader is talking about the Army’s defeat on television…
The World Leader continues on and talks about how a boy once saved them all from King Piccolo…
The episode ends soon after. The narrators closing line has been edited in the TV version. The uncut line was: “Hurry Goku, bring back the DragonBalls for the lives that have been lost, and those hanging in the balance”. In the TV version is edited to say “Hurry Goku, bring back the DragonBalls to undo the damage done by Cell and the damage yet to come”.
