As the episode begins Cell continues to tell Piccolo about his past. Cell goes on to tell Piccolo that Dr.Gero has taken cells from the strongest fighters on Earth. We then see a flash back of some of the main battles fought on Earth. Originally the scene of Vegeta stepping on Goku’s legs was removed from the TV version of episode 15. But, it plays out here…
Also. When they show Trunks slicing Freeza, the background is different. I’m guessing this is because originally with the sky background there wasn’t much time before Freeza split in half for them to either loop the shot or just cut the shot short before he split and make it look natural. The shot with the dramatic effects that plays in the Nicktoons version had Freeza intact so, I’m guessing that’s why they used that shot…
Another small editing error appears when King Cold gets slammed against the mountain side. There is a small bit of blood that squirts out that was omitted previously. Nothing major but still, it’s an editing error…
Cell goes on to tell Piccolo Dr.Gero got the cells from tiny ser valence robot cameras. Cell points one out to Piccolo and tells him “Who knows, it might even try to take another cell sample from you”. Piccolo blasts it and yells…
Cell eventually tells Piccolo he needs to absorb Android 17 and 18 to achieve his perfect form. Trunks defeated the androids in his time, so he killed Trunks and took his time machine. Piccolo rips his damaged arm off and forms a new one. Piccolo tells Cell he should thank Kami for that idea to play injured in order to get information out of him. Hearing that Kami is no longer the guardian of the Earth, Cell says to himself…
Soon after, Trunks and Krillin join Piccolo. Cell is a surprised to see Trunks but then thinks to himself…
It becomes apparent that Cell’s best option is to retreat. He performs a Solar Flair and runs off. Blinded by the attack, Trunks yells…
Elsewhere, Vegeta feeling the power levels from the fight thinks of all the people it couldn’t be. Confused by this, says to himself…
Eventually Cell comes enters a new town. While in the middle of the road a man driving a bus almost runs him over. The man has a cigarette in his mouth, now I wasn’t sure if this could be considered an editing error or not. I mean they edited cigarettes every time they show up, but maybe since there was no smoke and it’s only shown quickly they just thought it was OK? I’ll leave this one up to you guys…
The man then yells to Cell…
Just then Vegeta flys over head. Cell sees this and is surprised Vegeta isn’t dead in this time line. He says to himself…
As the football players (or whatever sport it is) come out of the truck and yell at Cell to move, he attacks them.
Meanwhile, Piccolo frustrated that Cell got away powers up and yells…
At that moment Vegeta approaches the area where Piccolo and the others are.
Meanwhile back at the road where Cell absorbed the Football players, there is a small shot removed here of Cell removing his tail from an now empty uniform…
Cell then absorbs the man driving the bus and carry’s on.
Elsewhere Piccolo informs the others of the information he got from Cell. Piccolo then goes on to say…
Pissed that Piccolo’s power level is now higher than his own even as a Super Saiyan, thinks to himself…
The episode ends soon after. During the preview for the next episode though there is a dialog edit. When talking about fighting Cell Krillin says he doesn’t wanna fight him by himself then says “Aw crap”. This was changed to “Why me?” in the TV version.
