Also I should mention, Android 17 still has blood (oil?) on the side of his mouth in some shots. The thing is, sometimes it’s re-colored and sometimes it’s just removed all together. Don’t know for sure why that is, but here’s some examples…
Cell powers up and walks past Piccolo, towards Android 17. Piccolo asks Cell…
Back at Kame House, Krillin and Tien feel Cell’s power. Chi-Chi suggest Krillin fly out to find Bulma and get the shut off device now instead of waiting for her here at Kame House. Tien feeling powerless just standing around fly’s off to help Piccolo. Roshi says to himself…
Cell attacks Android 17 but Piccolo steps in and kicks Cell in the face. Piccolo tells the android what Cell is up to but 17 doesn’t care, he thinks he can take Cell. Android 16 then yells to 17…
Android 17 ignores the warnings and attacks Cell. Once again Piccolo steps in, but this time gets thrown to the ground and says…
After Piccolo catches his breath he ready’s an attack. He has some blood on his face that is edited out from here on out…
For some reason, a few seconds of Piccolo forming the blast in his hands are removed…
Piccolo shoots Cell and for what seemed to be a very powerfull blast, had no affect on Cell. Cell slowly walks towards Piccolo. Piccolo yells to Android 17 to run, and with that, Cell punches Piccolo right in the face. The punch and a few seconds after were removed from the TV version…
Now, I should mention something here. In place of that punch scene shown above we see a quick flash screen and then a reaction shot from Tien, Goku and Gohan. This shot was taken from later in the episode when Cell blast Piccolo, and placed here instead.
Cell picks up Piccolo’s lifeless body and Piccolo head tilts. Tien says to himself that Piccolo’s neck is broken. This scene was also removed in the TV version…
Cell holds Piccolo’s lifeless body up and blast it at point blank range. This scene was removed from the TV version…
Android 17 looks on and says to himself…
Cell then tosses Piccolo’s body into the ocean. As Piccolo sinks his hand is shown slowly going under. The shot of Piccolo’s hand is removed…
Meanwhile on Kami’s Lookout, Gohan fly’s off to help Piccolo, but Goku stops him by punching him in the face. It’s edited with a flash but also, the punch and a few seconds after were removed in the TV version…
Gohan asks his Father, “why?”. Goku tells Gohan he wouldn’t have a chance against Cell. Gohan responds…
Mr. Popo adds…
Gohan says, he knows but…
Goku powers up out of anger, eager to get in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber says to himself…
Cell sets his sights on Android 17 and the episode ends soon after.
